The Life and Service Of

Morgan Davis, LHD

Guided by the promise of Acts 1:8, Morgan bears witness through the power of the Holy Spirit, carrying the name of Jesus to those who have never heard it in their mother tongue. Her service stretches from her local community to the furthest corners of the earth, always with the singular focus of making Christ known.

This same Spirit infuses her teaching, speaking, and writing as she walks alongside women, helping them discover their unique voice and place in God's redemptive story. Through authentic connection and biblical truth, she invites others to join in this beautiful, border-crossing movement that began at Pentecost and continues until the Lord Jesus returns.

Equipping Servant to the Global Church

Morgan's passion for making Jesus known burns brightest at the intersection of Gospel proclamation and Bible translation, especially among the Muslim world.

If you were sitting across from each other sharing coffee, Morgan would want you to know that her heart beats for Jesus and His mission. Every part of who she is flows from living Coram Deo—before the face of God, for His glory alone.

In bearing witness, Morgan’s life testifies to Psalm 103:3-5, where God “redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.” Having experienced the depth of His redemption firsthand, she clings to the truth of Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” This isn’t just her life verse—it’s the rhythm of her daily walk.

Each aspect of Morgan’s journey stems from this profound reality: her old self is gone, and now Christ lives through her. Her deepest desire is for others to experience this same transformative love of God revealed in the face of Christ—a love that rescues, restores, and renews completely.

This passion to share God’s redeeming love found its purpose during Morgan’s first trip to India in 2016. Watching young people from Muslim and Hindu backgrounds encounter Jesus for the first time ignited something in her soul. Their spiritual hunger was palpable—a genuine, raw seeking for something eternal in a world offering only temporary solutions. In their eyes, she saw what she had experienced herself—the life-changing power of meeting Jesus. Those moments crystallized for Morgan the beautiful urgency of sharing Christ with those who had never heard His name.

Morgan blends her academic background with hands-on ministry experience. She’s had the honor of presenting research at both the National Evangelical Missiological Society (2022) and the Missio Nexus National Missions Leaders Conference (2024), where she focuses on mobilizing African American and other ethnic minorities in global missions and amplifying the agency and scholarship of the majority world.

You might have heard Morgan on the Gospel Mobilization podcast or read her writings in From Every Nation’s Mission Journal and on Radical.net. Her education includes New Orleans Theological Baptist Seminary and Lancaster Bible College. Washington International Theological Seminary in Kenya conferred upon Morgan a Doctor of Humane Letters, recognizing her significant contributions to the field of missiology locally and abroad.

For five years as Director of Missions at her church, Morgan has nurtured a mission-minded community—teaching about God’s heart for all nations, equipping members for cross-cultural service, and connecting them with ministry partners worldwide.

She currently serves on the Baptist Convention of Maryland and Delaware’s Women’s Leadership Team and Sex Abuse Reform Task Force, and travels throughout the country speaking about biblical womanhood and women in missions.

Morgan values her involvement in the Evangelical Missiological Society, the National African American Missions Council, and Multi-Faith Neighbors Network, where she engages with Christian, Muslim, and Jewish leaders on religious freedom initiatives.

Ask Morgan what matters most in her life, and she’ll tell you without hesitation—being Chris’s wife and mom to their three remarkable children. Before Morgan surrendered her life the Lord, she proudly served as a United States Marine. Morgan is a California native, now residing on the East Coast with her family. When she’s not immersed in ministry, you’ll find her lifting weights, running, near the ocean, thrift-shopping with Chris, getting lost in 40s Jazz, or enjoying her favorite treat—a bowl of butter pecan ice cream.

Every role Morgan embraces—disciple, missionary, wife, mother, speaker, researcher—is united by her love for Jesus Christ and the privilege of participating in His Great Commission. She shares God’s heart expressed in 2 Peter 3:9, desiring that “none should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

From redemption to calling, from scholarship to service, Morgan’s story isn’t ultimately about her at all—it’s about the faithful God who continues to write His story of redemption through the ordinary lives of those who follow Him. In every conversation, on every platform, across every border, she bears witness to this unchanging truth: the light of Christ shines brightest when His disciples stand boldly in the darkest places, holding out the hope that changed them first.
